Chocolate Chip Cookies...the dough is absolutely delish!
375 degrees, 10 min.
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. soda
14 Tbs. (1 3/4 stick) unsalted butter
1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. chocolate chips
3/4 c. nuts
-Adjust oven to middle rack, preheat to 375 F
-Whisk flour and soda together and set aside
-Heat 10 Tbs. butter in skillet over med. high heat until melted. Continue cooking, swirling pan until butter is dark golden brown and has a nutty aroma. Transfer to a bowl and add remaining 4 Tbs. butter
-Add sugars, salt, eggs, and vanilla with butter. Whisk until smooth. Let stand 3 min.
-Whisk for 30 seconds, let stand 3 minutes
-Whisk for 30 seconds, let stand 3 minutes
-Whisk for 30 seconds, let stand 3 minutes--texture will be thick, smooth, and shiny.
-With rubber spatula, stir in flour until just barely mixed. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
Eat the dough...it has toffee taste to it. Totally delicious.
