3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 bag chocolate chips
1 bag caramel bits (found in aisle near chocolate chips, Kraft makes them)
Preheat oven to 375F. Beat butter with sugar and brown sugar at medium speed until creamy and lightened in color (about 5 mins). Add vanilla and eggs, one at a time, mixing on low speed until incorporated.
Gradually blend in flour, salt, and baking soda into creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and caramel bits. Drop by tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 mins or until golden brown. Use a cookie rack to let them cool. Don't let cool on paper towels...the caramel bits will stick to the paper.
